lol good one.
The people who have a problem with Mittens hiring gay people are the ones who don't care about results, only appearances. One thing about Mittens, he'll hire the best person to get the job done, he's no dummy.

I wonder what the "American Family Association" thinks of all those heterosexual Secret Service agents having sex with Columbian prostitutes? Apparently a lot of them have girlfriends or wives!
So what is wrong with hiring a openly gay guy as a foreign policy advisor? If the man is qualified what is the issue?

Exclamation Will Republicans support Romney as he shifts from Seriously Conservative to Openly Liberal?

Quote:
Mitt Romney’s decision to hire an openly gay foreign policy spokesman this past week prompted criticism from the director of the socially conservative American Family Association Bryan Fischer, who said in a tweet Friday night that Romney’s pick of “out & loud gay“ Richard Grenell is a message to the ”pro-family community“ to ”drop dead.”
Will Republicans be comfortable supporting Romney as he shifts from Seriously Conservative to Openly Liberal?

Romney's leadership style will be characterized by an intense focus on fiscal issues and a back-burner approach to social issues. Beyond a few token nods, the GLBT community will have to sit it out for the next 4 to 8 years. Romney has already shown a dislike for controversial social issues and instead is strong in fiscal issues. Take the false birth control argument that liberals are pushing. Romney hasn't found any interest in that debate whatsoever. He's above ankle-biting politics pushed by Democrats and Liberals. I don't think that will change anytime soon.

Yeah, there's NO chance that he might actually be the best person for the job, right?

False premise by the OP as Mitt Romney has never been "seriously conservative". Since taking his oath of office as Gov. of Mass. he has been openly Progressive.
