Money has no place in politics and is chiefly responsible for the wreck our government is in. Forbid campaign contributions or lobbying from any source whatsoever and make all elections publicly funded.

It was a very bad decision. By granting people hood to an discorporate organization it created an immortal economic entity that will, given the dynamics of any market system, own everything and eventually become the state, the people and the country. Corporations are NOT people. They are groups of people organized to limit personal financial responsibility for business losses. The court just cleared the way for everything and everyone to be sold to a very few. Those few will NOT rule fairly but Tyrannically.

So you oppose the freedom of speech as protected by the first amendment?

I defend speaking and/or writing what ever you desire. I do not defend your buying whatever you thinK is right. Speak about politics but leave your money at home.

POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NOT FREE SPEECH. THEY ARE BRIBES.

It was irrelevent.

If people are going to be swayed by how many 30 second spots a candidate can put on t.v, we are screwed either way.

Obviously implementing what I propose will require an amendment.

Not a Constitutional Amendment but a court finding the contributions are NOT speech.

Interesting take on the money Greg.

The founding fathers could never have imagined 2 things. Todays mass media and just how incredibly wealthy some people/ corporations are today and how much they throw into politics using that mass media. In 1776 mass media was a newspaper ad.

Thomas Jefferson realized the potential power of corporations and wanted to place severe restrictions on them including dissolution agter their tasks were done. Hamilton disagreed.
