He is in it for Hollywood factor (did you see his stand up comedy routine at the Correspondent's Dinner this week...great time watching the leader of the free world mock his secret service's indiscretions, his own "hot mic" incident, and congress.) He is a real leader we can be proud of. This cracks me up, that Democrats still support him. Why? Were you really pleased with his first term? Can you honestly look at the last four years and say, "more, please!" Who are these people. I can forgive the voters of 2008. I wasn't among his brainwashed supporters, but I did hope he could do what he promised. Now we are on the brink of the 2012 election, and if you're not questioning this man's capabilities and motives by now, you ought to take some time to study the issues and research the candidates. Do you read a paper? Do you work? Do you pay a mortgage? Do you have children? Your children deserve better!
This is not a popularity contest, people! I don't care if my president has a mean jumpshot or rubs elbows with celebs! It's like dating. Date the popular guy, realize he's shallow and stupid and can't pay for dinner because he's in debt, then marry the nerd - the nice guy who smartly saves his money, who's loyal, who couldn't care less about the cool kids or nightlife. Romney has a track record of fiscal responsibility and is a "turnaround" king. Who can argue that turnaround is what we desperately need right now? We cannot weather four more years of the Obama steamroller.
Please save your righteous indignation for somebody who will buy it.

The correspondents dinner - every president does it. Remember when Bush joked about those weapons of mass destruction? THAT was disgusting. I don't care for the whole concept of the dinner, but to hold Obama to a different standard about it is garbage.

As for Romney, agree to disagree. Obama has been FAR more successful in life than Romney, and typifies the American Dream. Romney, much like Bush, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Not saying that he didn't do anything with it, but, objectively, he's been nowhere as successful in life as Obama.

I say that Obama is a man of the people because that's where he comes from. He's worked hard for every single thing he has. People identify with that, and that's why Obama remains personally FAR more popular than Romney, politics aside. Survey after survey shows that people do not feel that Romney understands people like them. That's where the Dems need to hit him, and they are.

You lefties should admire him and aspire to be as successful as he is......he sets a good example and will be a great leader! Oh, but I forgot, the lefties want an entitlement nation where they just take from others with no personal responsibility.

This makes Mitt Romney totally out of touch with the average American, their challenges, and their financial struggles. In other words, Romney doesn't have a clue!

Obviously not now but did any of those 3 come from money? They're self made men, the Republican party's worst enemy. 2 poor crackers and a black guy rose up to become president. Rich Republicans are born on third base and think they hit a home run

And he doesn't worry about "poor people" because they have safety nets.

Of course, by supporting things like the Ryan Plan and de-funding Planned Parenthood, he's trying to eliminate those "safety nets."

He really is a horrible person with no compassion or empathy for, or connection to, anyone not "like him" (uber rich).

Ah, yes, the community organizer who clawed his way to the top, and is "FAR" more successful than the former governor, chairman of the salt lake city olympics and financial businessman (a career that spanned decades and rightfully earned him a comfortable lifestyle.) That is the American Dream, friend, and if you believe for a second that Obama did anything but luck into his current position, watch the doc "Media Malpractice" which illustrates how he was systematically shoved into the spotlight despite admitting on camera that he was "a firm believer in knowing what you're doing before applying for a job," a statement he made in an interview when asked initially if he would ever consider running for office.
