L0ngWave99, an American hacker group, announced today attack some of US Stock Exchanges such as NYSE and NASDAQ.

What about their attack?!

Didnt notice it, but when you said the other day that their attacks wont be harmful to the 99%, how do you figure, considering most people have money in the stock market?

This kind of thing is very suspect. It gives the govt excuses to crack down on the internet. Which they are already doing.

Whats humorous is this group of people who "attacked" Nasdaq.com, even if they managed to shut down the site, did absolutely nothing because the financial transactions dont go through a website, and trading activities would continue as normal.

Thats like saying, hey, I shut down McDonalds.com, so they couldnt sell any hamburges.. haha.. stupid tools..

Actually they are pretty smart, attacking a website brings bad publicity without the criminal charges of countless people losing money. So they are actually being smart and considerate of 99% investments, while at the same time showing how ridiculous these companies security policies are.

I'm not exactly sure that a DDOS can be stopped? How is it ridiculous?

Unless it wasn't a DDOS.
