So what gives liberals? Please explain these contradictions.

Wal Mart pays pathetic wages, destroys communities, overpays the CEO, encourages overconsumption and makes junk that falls apart easily. Apple makes great innovative products that people love. The former gets huge subsidies and only exists because local communities are taxed to subsidize it. The latter increases international trade and drives the market.
Explain to me why any rational conservative would like Wal Mart again?
It seems like you've already made your argument, and the argument of the scarecrow in your mind that you have defined as "the liberal position", so why exactly do you need anyone else's input? Seriously, if you have had the debate in your head already and won...there's no reason to ask any real persons opinion.

A) Steve Job's was a California raised baby-boomer. His lack of religious leaning was just about the only Liberal thing about him.
B) The government needs to close the loopholes that allow non-bricks and mortar corporations to offshore their profits and not pay their taxes.
C) There are many reasons to dislike Wal-Mart. The fact they pay their taxes is not one of those reasons.
D) Why did you choose to bring the silly and false Conservative/Liberal dichotomy into this? What's the point of that?
My response to D), above: It's all he's got.
To the OP: I don't have emotional feelings towards any corporation.
I do boycott some. For example, it's been decades (since the Valdez) that I bought Exxon; I don't buy Nestles, either.
“Traditional” booksellers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble have stuck to the wholesale pricing model, in which they purchase the rights to a book and set their own price. This often stiffs the publishers as the retailers turn bestsellers into loss leaders, causing them to be undervalued in the publisher’s view. But with Apple, the big five can price books how they see fit. Both sides can be effectively argued as pro-consumer.
Actually, this is better for the "creative class" - it stops the stores from selling the books at a loss, which undervalues the books - so you can argue whether you think it's fair that Apple and the publishers collude on prices, but I don't think it's going to have a negative effect on the actual creatives.
It's the same thing that happened with the record labels and iTunes.

TRUE liberals hate Apple just as much as Wal-Mart, despite popular belief amongst conservatives.
