Genesis 4

1 And the man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived and bore Cain, and said: 'I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.'

17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bore Enoch; and he builded a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch.

In the span of 17 verses, Cain was born and had sex with his "wife". Seeing as the literal interpretation states that Adam and Eve were the first 2 humans, meaning Cain was the 3rd human. Where did Cain get his wife unless it was either his mother, or a sister never described in the chapter?

It had to be a close relative. The literal interpretation doesn't allow for any other option.

I'd say your lack of reading comprehension skills puts you in the latter category. Hint: "Marriage and Procreation" does not state, nor even imply, that the latter is required (or even possible) for the former to be a fundamental right.

The infamous 5-7 verses always quoted out of context and language to condemn gay people.

Thank you for informing me that you think that English is the only language that is worth knowing - and that any translations from another language are invalid.
Where did I say that? I merely said the Bible wasn't written in English, so quoting an English verse does not factor language issues in the analysis of the verse.

Neither is California, but they are one of the most liberal, and they voted it down also?

if your were smart enough to read what I said you'll know I was saying that there is no right to marry a member of the same sex.
that's irrelevant to anything you said.

California has a very large Conservative population, and the measure didn't win by a huge majority. It also had an extremely large financial backing from the Mormon church.

You act like all 35 million Californians are as liberal as Western Europeans. Hardly. The majority of Californians do not live in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego.

The poster questioned religious influences upon laws. Since many laws are influenced by religious ideas - I wondered if the poster was hostile to our laws. What is strange about that?

Only to people who twist the purpose of marriage into something it is not.

Why do gays want to be "married" and have it officially endorsed as "marriage" by the state governments anyway?

Obviously marriage is not a right, or else brothers and sisters could marry, and mothers marry their sons, and people marry multiple partners.

State laws, that are Constitutional, bar a lot of consenting adults from getting a government endorsed marriage license.
