Its still a generalization. Give validity to it, and you no longer have a rational reason for the negative. To say that a certain group, a group that numbers in the millions "seems happier and more laid back" is just........stupid.

And anyone who like even positive generalizations probably just likes to glom onto some larger entity/group because they see no good or value in themselves.

Generalizations are the stuff of racism.

I always kind of found the whole "Hispanics are conservative and anti-gay!" to be a total fallacy. The right wants to think they are, but they aren't. Latin America is a very sexually liberated place. People just don't give a damn what you do there. Mexico City and Sao Paulo (not really Hispanic, but pretty close) have the biggest gay pride parades in the whole world if I am not mistaken.

None of us give a crap if they want to pretend to be married, but they have no right to impose this on the rest of us. Have your little ceremony, exchange your vows, and claim your married, who cares? Just don't demand that our priest oblige you with this charade. CA has spoken, twice. Go to any of these states, they will play the game.
Such licenses are granted by six states: Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont, plus Washington, D.C. and Oregon's Coquille and Washington state's

When the Federal government legalizes polygamy, you can do whatever the hell you want.
This is not about marrying the same sex, this is about the war on morality, religion, and eviscerating American tradition and culture.

I guess you're really winning your cool points today aren't you?
Funny how that's a perfectly fine thing to say, but people around here will jump on someone for admitting that brown or black faces come to mind for other things.

How about we just remove the word "marriage" from the federal dictionary, u good with that?

I don't know many hispanics that are openly against same-sex unions...it is all about using the word "marriage".

The definition of marriage is perfectly fine, between a man and a woman. What gays do is a union, that's fine too. It's a psychiatric problem, not a word problem.
