It sounds like a match made in heaven. Two homicidal idiots in a world of zombies found each other.

He flung himself in front of the SUV to prevent her from going to vote. I haven't read anything yet in the various accounts as to whether or not she went to the polls after she hit him hard enough to knock him down.
The woman called the cops after the incident. The guy was not run over, but his leg was broken.

The mention of them being estranged says a lot about their relationship; they haven't gotten along for some time, obviously, and to me, this is just another case of a woman who has had enough.
I once saw a wife slap her husband a hard one in the chops while waiting in line at a polling station. I don't know if they were allowed to go in and vote or not, but they weren't raising a commotion before the slap. Just goes to show how human nature is, I guess.
