Realistically nothing will happen. It will take years as in 5 or more as this will be dragged on through the courts and then what's the worst that will happen, the county will pay. Nothing will happen to Joe. I can't stand Joe but he always wins in the end.

Actually he is not. He is all talk. The real reason immigration declined was due to the poor Arizona economy and increased number of Federal Border Patrol Agents. There was simply no jobs in Arizona and illegals went back to Mexico and California. As the Arizona economy is improving, they are slowly moving back.

Sheriff Joe does very little. His posse doesn't go into bad neighborhoods and remote areas where the real violence occurs. He stages public displays of mass arrests at fast food joints and restaurants on occasion. He even had his own reality television show. Maricopa County has paid over 200 million dollars in lawsuits filed against the MCSO. Most disturbing is how Sheriff Joe is a beacon for white supremacist groups and he has become their symbol.

The good news is his time is up. Arizona residents are finally starting to see him for what he is and he is going to be out of office soon.

Then why was the DOJ investigation instigated during the Bush Administration?

Why does he need to be locked away?

It would be funny however if he became former Orange County(CA) Sheriff Mike Carona's cellmate in federal prison - they have both at one time or another been called "America's sheriff".

But what crime has Joe Arpaio committed?

Number one lawman; more like number one prick. Can't wait till 2012 till that jackass gunrunning Obama slobbering fool is gone!

This may be the beginning of holding Obama accountable for his crimes.

Obama also knows he will lose going after Arpaio, but that's down the road, for now he expects this to win him votes. It's pure politics.
Holder has his own crimes to answer for, starting with Fast and Furious. Plus blatant racism in enforcing the law (NewBPP, voter intimidation, Bounty). Holder's got some nerve going after Arpaio.
