No agenda, eh? No demand for special treatment, eh? Just want to be accepted and live a quiet life, eh?

Gay illegal immigrants demand deportation protection - Washington Times

Quote:
...the 2012 policy for dreamers excludes immigrants with major criminal records, and gay rights activists fear if Mr. Obama keeps those restrictions in place, it would end up excluding many members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community who, because of their lifestyles, end up with higher rates of criminal records...
[emphasis mine, to prove a point]

Aren't we already importing enough criminals?

Quote:
The criminal bar could be difficult for gay rights groups to overcome. Even as he has carved most illegal immigrants out of real danger of deportation, the president has said recent border crossers and those with criminal records must be returned to their home countries.

Ah, we've finally got the "gay illegal immigrant" story the rightwingers have been waiting for all these years... If they were Muslim too, this could be a trifecta.

All illegals, regardless of sexual orientation and age, need to be deported back to their country of origin.

There is no gay agenda. It's made up. Stop acting like it's not. And if you legitimately believe it's real, I'm so sorry for you and anyone who has to hold conversations with you.

As for this, it's kinda silly. If your an illegal immigrant, your an illegal immigrate. Gay or straight doesn't change that and to try and use that to get out of deportation seems pretty weak.

Don't be naive. Of course there is a gay agenda, just like there is a conservative agenda, black agenda, Christian agenda, Hispanic agenda.....

Since we are human, we'll always have some agendas.

Are you saying gay people aren't human?

I wonder what kinds of "major crimes" the activists are referring to? I can understand overlooking arrests and charges of homosexual behavior, obviously, but if they're suggesting we should overlook serious crimes like battery or rape, then no, I wouldn't agree with doing that.

Amazing! It's these type of posts that really make a bad name for c-d. First of all, you select a sensationalized headline, emblazoning something eluded to by straight conservatives to stir up hate; nothing factual. There is no issue with gays who have committed crimes not being allowed to immigrate, with the exception of the crime of being gay which is still very much real.

In Russia, it is legal to beat, and kill homosexuals. Police do not have to help homosexuals in any way. When homosexuals are beaten, ambulances do not have to take them to the hospital. In fact, hospitals are not required to treat them. Throughout most of Africa, there are witch hunts on the look out for anyone even suspected of being gay. Jail sentences of life in prison, and execution are routine. India has now included any kind of sex other than that of heterosexual sex illegal.

The problem is, if refugee status is granted to homosexuals, then heterosexuals will pose as gay to be granted refugee/legal status. There are Indians that are attempting to use the new sodomy laws as grounds to be granted refugee status to the U.S., thus allowed asylum. Indian political officials indicate that the new sodomy laws are not routinely enforced, and that members of the Indian gay population have not been living under any kind of tyranny as of yet. But, since so many people think the streets are paved with gold in the U.S. and know this country will take care of them, anybody, gay or straight may attempt to use any kind of refugee status possible to their advantage.
