The other day I turned the channel and MSNBC had in a box in the left hand corner.. Mitt Happens.. MSNbc is sickening.. at least I can watch Fox and get too sides to the story.

MSNBC has a bunch of pundits agreeing with one another to take down the Republican party if any Republican as much as stepped on an ant they would be calling peta and shouting foul things.

Someone just tuning in or only getting part of the discussion can see the main point of the argument from the message crawl on the bottom of the screen. If you are listening to the entire conversation then this point is only reinforced.

This type of propaganda works well on low information viewers, and like it or not, that is the typical FOX viewer.

The reason Bill O'Reilly always calls out Media Matters is because it is their job to mine for distortions in the media, and FOX is, by far, the worst offender. If they were a "liberal blog" they wouldn't be calling out the New York Times, yet they have repeatedly.

They go after FOX the most simply because they are the worst offender in journalism, no other reason. An organization with no scruples, ethics, or attempt to produce accurate reporting.

One other thing: The media is owned by 6 major corporations, none of them "liberal". MSNBC exists because there is a core segment of society that values their reporting, and it makes NBC/GE money. That simple. The rest of the media is conservative, and has been for years.

Media Conglomerates, Mergers, Concentration of Ownership
You didn't list the distortions that Fox News is guilty of. I would like to hear some of them.

I don't watch fox or any news channel on a regular basis, I see the bias from both sides and it's overwhelmingly liberal bias. Unfortunately you are apparently part of the 74%. You aren;t doing yourself any favors sticking your head in the sand.

Wrong, only 7% of national journalist identified themselves as Conservative in 2004, it's not even remotely close to what the general population is.

About a third of national journalists (34%)
and somewhat fewer local journalists (23%)
describe themselves as liberals; that compares
with 19% of the public in a May survey conducted
by the Pew Research Center. Moreover, there is
a relatively small number of conservatives at
national and local news organizations. Just 7% of
national news people and 12% of local journalists
describe themselves as conservatives, compared with
a third of all Americans.
