For all those so concerned about the vice president, when (outside of assassinations) has the VP made any difference at all? Should one choose a less competent president, simply due to their VP choice? A rational person would say , "no".

Any person who chooses to make such a claim should not be the person making the decision. There's only one decision maker, the voter, in November.

Maybe, maybe not. But I'm just wondering why we're back to Palin. Four years later with another election looming and what, for politics, is ancient history is being rehashed. Why?

Because all the left cares about is trying to distract us from Obama's record.

The sub forum is entitled "Elections." And the revelation by the man in charge of vetting VP candidates for the GOP for more than 20 years talked about something we've not seen reported on previously - regarding an "election." The 2008 election. It's likely this same man will be involved in Mitt Romney's VP possibilities vetting as well. You may not find it worthy of discussion. That's fine with me. Just don't try to imply to others they shouldn't discuss it. Simply move-on.

I don't know, Joe Biden sure made a big difference lately.

My thoughts exactly. And besides, we know now that Obama is infinitely less qualified (I don't belive Palin was unqualified), and he was running for POTUS. Look what he has done! We are in ruin!
