Why are people in Blue States so much smarter than people who reside in Red States?

When I lived in California I felt like an idiot because everyone was so smart.

Blue states have less poverty, less obesity, and more education.

Red states? Well, not so much.

Poe's Law is deep. I read that 4 times and still don't get it. At first, I thought it had something to do with Edgar Allen Poe.

I live in a red state.

We have extremely low unemployment.

We have extremely low cost of living.

Who's the stupid one?

Funny, but this red stater figured it out the first time. But then again, you said that even people in California made you feel like an idiot...

Just understand that if you're out somewhere in the middle of, say, Iowa where there was never any real economic boom to speak of, it's easy to have low cost of living and low unemployment. But that's also not where the GDP of this country comes from and where the science and technology of the future is invented. Less variability but also lower potential growth/upside.

The people in Red States are not dumber, but I think it is safe to say that on average, Liberals are much dumber than Conservatives.

Who really believes that you can save money by spending more??

It's pretty well known that those whom are more liberal, tend to be more intelligent where those that are conservative, tend to be more ignorant.
