It's called freedom of speech. Yet the only response the Islamists could come up with was violence.
True dat. Western society allows for this kind of action. Our values are such that we must be strong enough to co-exist peacefully even though we might be highly offended. It's a fundamental pillar of much of the Western world.
Perhaps this event simply highlights a tremendous problem: Some immigrants want to have all the rights but won't grant those rights to the very people who created them in the first place.
Frankly, if you fail to not only embrace the values of your chosen homeland but actively act to undermine them, perhaps you just need to go back home. If you are German and still don't believe in freedom of speech, you either need to suck it up and realize that this is an important value in your society. If you can't stand it, you either need to elect officials who share your perspective or, alternatively, you need to move some place where you won't have that right.
There are plenty of places where drawing a caricature of Mohamed will get you killed - go there and find your Nirvana.
They could have drawn cartoons about Jesus instead, but I guess that wasn't manageable by their primitive minds.

Exactly. So why is the western World letting muslim immigrants in their country, who don't respect their laws and constitution?
Germany is SO soft, definitely a guilt ridden past. They are a pathetic nation, so liberal. They deserve all the **** from their new Muslim buddies
