New Zealand - "This country has a running list of names banned from the official registrar...."
Germany - "......One must be able to tell if your child is a boy or a girl based on their first name (what would we do with all those Taylors, Jaimes, and Jordans?)...."
I have to wonder about parents who give their children weird names. I wouldn't want to go through life with a name like "Dweezle" or "Moon Unit".

At any rate, do these laws also apply to people changing their names? Here are some real names - some of them were officially changed by the adult bearing that name, some were given at birth:

I can see that happening.
They probably do get a lot more abuse from their peers.......all that teasing about what a crazy name the child has.
