I don't believe that assault can be denied but as I also said, I am interested in hearing the final police report of the incident.
Well I agree that we can't really know what is being alleged until we see police reports. But when I looked closely in the picture, the guy who is being restrained has his legs pretty close together. If he was preparing to kick, he was weakly prepared. Also, if he had just been bitten, I could understand him feeling like retaliating, and the guy holding him back being more level headed and stopping a bad situation from becoming worse.

I'm not taking of for the goe dude, except to say that I see no physical contact happening, and there are no pictures of the beginning of the skirmish. What we have is an incomplete picture story that gives us about 1% or less of what really happened.

As I said before, after reading up on it, it seems like a battle of the kooks from both sides.

As for the war memorial desecrations, I was simply pointing out that both sides of protestors tend to act like vandals at times.

I agree that I wouldn't join either side to voice my opinion, as I don't like to be associated with groups that are known to have at least a few nut cases that regularly make a scene.

It is always the kooks who get the headlines. Meanwhile, those who wish to protest for and against the war in accordance with the law are over shadowed.
