Please defend marriage as defined to be between a man and a woman!
Since heterosexual marriages are such a dismal failure, evidenced by the high rate of divorce, and multiple divorces, and the USA population rejection of religious teachings on this matter, I don't feel compelled to want to block homosexual men and lesbians from trying to make it work for them. If as you say, there are sufficient protections afforded by civil unions and/or common law marriages ... maybe we should just abolish marriage altogether given it's failure rate.
There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said over and over again in a 46 page thread, so I'll just put this here and let you all chew on it for a while.
They only thing I find abnormal here is your bigotry, hate, and prejudice. I guarantee these 12 kids will be better off than any kids raised in a household teaching those values.
I totally agree with both your statements, but most especially, the second one.
Yes I know. Thats the problem with incest. The message. The sexual properties demonstrate a focus which rests in self philosophical intencity. Thats how sex works, its an expression. An ultimate expression for the ultimate in existing objectives. Balance in experience vrs hope or lack of hope. Can you explain rape properly? can anyone here...? who knows what they are talking about?
Can YOU explain what YOU'RE talking about?
As evidenced by your many rambling, nonsensical posts, you can't.
FYI, rape is more about control and humiliation than it is about sex. Rapists are pathetic, emotionally stunted, powerless little **** ants who feel the need to subjugate women and objectify them. But your Christian philosophy approves of that doesn't it?
There are religions and cultures which practice polygamy.
Should someone of a culture who comes to the USA be allowed to have more than one wife? Should someone who marries in a nation that recognizes polygamy have their marriage to several women be validated in the USA?
How do insurance companies deal with that? The IRS?
I'm well aware that other cultures and religions practice polygamy.
Should someone from one of these cultures, who is a legal resident of this country be allowed to practice polygamy! Sure, if and when it becomes legal.
Should an immigrant, with a recognized polygamous marriage in another country, be allowed to keep all of his wives? I see no reason not to allow it, although I would not allow any further marriages. It's kind of a slippery slope and I don't have a legal background. I would expect my marriage to be recognized as valid if I immigrated somewhere else though.
