No. Someone's pastor matters in an election just as much as someone's choice of soda.

Obama has the same ideology as Reverend Wright. Always against the white side of the situation.. the stupid cop, his racist grandmother who rasied him, etc.

Roy, stop talking about "white guilt" it is a parroted line from Fox news or Beck and doesnt speak for any intelligent white people, AT ALL.

It is an antiquated expression from the 1950's and if anyone SHOULD have white guilt, it should be Romney for all the people he has fired, and all the money he's acquired nefariously.

We are in a recession so unless you are talking about the 1% "White Guilt" is pure bull****.

But if you want to talk about religion then Romney can also be asked if he's seen visions/delusions of the "Angel of Moroni" or whatever it is......

When has he ever spoken out against his grandmother????

Please provide a credible link. Or can we all just assume you pulled that one out of your ass?

Obama said his grandmother called blacks racial slurs. Where have you been? How about Obama's own words.

So? He was stating a fact about that generation that his grandmother grew up in. You try to make it sound like he's an ungrateful SOB who's trying to throw his grandmother under the bus.

Only a true Obama Hater could listen to those words and think that's what he was doing.

But its not a Black Supremacist Church. Trinity addresses the issues of the community in which it is located. Just as many other churches which exist within communities with high percentages of particular ethnic or cultural groups, some of which just so happen to be of European descent. Trinity is not hostile to whites, in fact its very welcoming. On a regional and national level it works closely with predominately white churches. Its members serve on national boards of the UCC with their fellow denominational members who are primarily white.

I don't know if Rev. Wright is a complete pacifist or not. I've never heard in address the issue in general. He did volunteer twice for the military and in is 09/16/01 sermon he talked about the military planning to do what they had to do.

Well, if the Reverend Wright wasn't putting Hillary in the same group with other rich whites, what was he doing.
What difference does it matter whether or not Obama "has been in the hood?"

Rev. Wright was asserting his belief that Obama could relate better to the members of Trinity than Clinton could. Perhaps Rev. Wright was wrong in his assertion, but I don't think so.

If you look back on this thread I think I already did that. Perhaps you could explain why you think there is something wrong with Black Liberation Theology.
