Yep I'm white but I would expect to go to jail if I was safely ensconced in my car and I shot and killed some guy wielding a pipe or bat who I thought was gonna lay a beating on my damn car!

Honestly, it's the culture, not the race. We have East LA with Hispanic gangs that are every bit as violent and "gangsta" as parts of the black community. White neighborhoods that are the same way. The term gangster originally referred primarily to white organized crime organizations, IIRC. Any culture that glorifies crime, violence and welfare is F'ed up. And worthy of contempt.

It is my belief that EVEN if the victim were armed with a pipe or bat; his life was not in peril while safely ensconced inside a running car. His position equates to "I believed my beloved Honda was in mortal danger so I fealt justified in the taking of a human life"!
