No, next they'll propose a tax on cups because of the excessive usage brought on by the regulation.

sickofnyc;..... The food industry is playing you like a fiddle. Making you ingest an amount that you would not ordinarily actually want......
Speak for yourself. I don't know anyone who is that weak- willed.

The prospect of somebody being so weak-willed that they blame their weight problems on the food industry is beyond stupid.

you cannot get this concept that my five year old nephew would comprehend......
Your nephew is being raised with a victim's mentality? That's a shame.

Good luck having him compete against those who aren't.

Soda leads to increased obesity. Increased obesity leads to increased costs for everyone. People won't drink less soda or exercise, so state attempts to decrease their soda intake.

Personally doesn't bother me. Almost entirely cut soda out of my diet and gives me much more energy to "gasp" do stuff.

It is obvious that you have no clue as to how the food industry has suckered the public. Your ignorance is obvious. I for one, consume only organically raised, grown or produced food. If you don't, you are part of the suckered consumer populace, whether you realize it or not. Yes, my five year old nephew is already aware of why we encourage these types eating practices in the family and quite frankly, he is most likely is better educated than you as to the sickening practices of Food, Inc. It is not just body weight that is affected by the consumption of massive amounts of garbage.

I will give you nanny staters a hint.............leading a stagnant life and not exercising leads to obesity. Pretty simple stuff. There is no magic pill or no magic regulation that will thin all the porkers out. Do you loons honestly think these hogs sit around salivating every day to go get their super size at the BK? Hell they're too lazy to get off their butt's. Easier to go out once a week to wally world and load up on ten or twelve cases. Please tell me you folks don't think that reducing one drink will cure obesity. If so you are so lost there is no hope.
