Loving v. Virginia says so, and the US Supreme Court trump whatever right-wing thinktank (and I'm using that word in the broadest possible definition) came up with the latest attempt at a rearguard action. (I see they're going slippery slope, how - original.) I guess they're seeing their gravy train leaving, poor guys.

Only those brainwashed by homosexual trends would try to pretend it is.

The people of this country and entire world exist through male/female unions, so lawmakers saw need to protect such unions from which all society comes. Still, not all couples get married, again because marriage is not a fundamental right.

Totally. Who would confuse equal access to civil marriage as a civil right?

Man.
Shoot this zombie thread in the head and put it to rest.
Do you realize roysoldboy is no longer a member?
Ot that 56 of his old posts in a row were locked, one after the other?

This topic will be argued until the cows come home.

But civil rights or not, the current situation will be resolved in favor of same sex marriages. There are too many states that allow it now for the issue to ever go back to the way it was.

Marriage, whether a civil right or not, still has too many laws associated with it to allow the current mishmash of prohibitive laws to stand on the books any more. People move around, and their marriage status goes with them.

With 38% of the states now allowing same sex marriage, it is inevitable that all 50 will have to allow those marriages. It's only a matter of time before the holdouts get tired of wasting state money on failed challenges.
