And how many man hours to find a guy hiding in plain sight?
Our government is the proverbial gang that couldn't shoot straight.

I don't believe anyone is offered immunity for crimes they might commit in the future. Who knows, someone might have said something off the cuff to get some sort of information but I would just about gaurantee there is no agreement or any record of it.

"We shall be filing a motion to dismiss based on the fact that a representative of the federal government promised James Bulger immunity regarding any crimes that he had committed or any crimes that he would commit in the future,” defense attorney J.W. Carney Jr. said.
That's absurd. How could they possibly
grant immunity for crimes to be named later.
A lifetime get out of jail free card? Not likely.

Don't forget, these are the same brilliant minds that some people claim pulled off 9-11....involving what would have had to have been thousands of people.

Yeah....we couldn't even keep nukes out of the Russians hands and they knew about the bombs before we ever dropped them.

Guy is 82. Probability to he will live long enough to be tried and have his appeals run is probably less than 25%. So the effort is mostly for naught. If he dies before appeals are exhaused it all gets wiped.

So what does the trial cost? And where is the return on that cost?

Make a deal and send him to a nursing home.

I prefer to take him out back a pop a cap in the back of his brain bucket like he did to so many others. now that would save some money.

If he had immunity, why live on the run for years? I think this is a stretch by the defense.
