Uh; you forget a few groups like us Irish "Irish Need Not Apply" people, Chinese and the Jews. Those people were treated probably as bad as Blacks and WORSE than Hispanics back in the day. The Jews and Chinese didn't let prejudice get in their way for many reasons.

Hispanics: many of them WANT to stay in the barrios yet Italians who are almost the same culture WANTED to become American and speak English instead of the old language. Italians had to deal with prejudice from the anglos back in the day too.

Sorry no, Romney isn't Hispanic. Hispanic is a culture and he had no ancestors from Spain. If you don't practice that culture then it doesn't matter what country you or your ancestors were born in. Mitt is ethnically non-hispanic white.
