No. States should not be given back to Native Americans, because even they weren't above fighting over resources, desirable hunting grounds, etc. contrary to the seemingly widespread belief that they didn't believe in the concept of ownership.

Besides, NM (my home state) has one of the highest populations of Native Americans, in the top 10 somewhere. The NA population here seems like they don't really care one way or another.
Right. They didn't believe in the WHITE EUROPEAN laws of ownership. As we know, White law always trumps everyone else. Hence the reason why Whites thought they had the "right". Apart from that, they also thought it was their destiny. God intended them to take over.

The Indians believe in passing down to land to future generations. The land never "belonged" to anyone, but was a gift for all to share and take of.

Prove it.

Spain's former territories had already turned into been turned into Mexico, then divided into current Mexico and the Mexican Cessation that was bought/won. I'm pretty sure you're BSing, but on the off chance that you've gotten your Presidents mixed up, post proof.

They won Southwest from Spain, after US troops where storming into Mexico City and were about to tear the place up.

Americans did not want present day Mexico because of racism. They refused to govern the millions of mestizo citizens of Mexico who they saw as beneath them and as a potential burden. Unlike America, the Spanish didn't eliminate the Indians, but mixed with them. They had enough to deal with the blacks. And the only reason they put up with them was because of slavery.

It won't happen since we really are a country that preaches equality, morality and then always turn around and do the opposite. We've done it for centuries.

The right thing would be to give Indians more land. Also, give blacks land for all the crimes committed against their people. But we will never do that.

So there's no point in arguing about it.

Your argument was the same EXACT argument used by whites in our country's past. Go figure.

"They're salvages..kill them". LOL Because we all know whites were such a peaceful people who never did any harm or ill no ANYONE. LOL.

The Indians who choose to live on reservations represent the lowest form of humanity. No different from any of the other US citizens (white, black, etc) who want to live off similar government welfare.
