Americans did not want present day Mexico because of racism. They refused to govern the millions of mestizo citizens of Mexico who they saw as beneath them and as a potential burden. Unlike America, the Spanish didn't eliminate the Indians, but mixed with them. They had enough to deal with the blacks. And the only reason they put up with them was because of slavery.
The Spanish mixed with the Aztec and so on cause there weren't enough white women to go around unlike what is now the US where whole families came here. Even now the dark skin Hispanics are counted as low class IN LatAm.
We are a funny country, we like to keep our advantages and stolen benefits, but preach to everyone else with our self-righteousness. Native Americans should receive a mass amount of land, anything else is crap.
They can have California. The white liberal politicians of that state aren't doing a good job controlling expenses.
Look, you are talking to the decedents of the whites who murdered,and stole the land of Natives. The ones they didn't kill off, they relocated them to the pits of the country.

So why are you living in enemy territory? Paying your taxes to the enemy country instead of living in your homeland and trying to build the place up?

Couple of great casinos including the new Talking Stick Resort. (Best buffet in the valley.) They're working on restoring the native languages of their tribes.
Plus they've got one heck of a great spring training facility in Salt River Fields.

Most of the people working in those casinos ain't Indian. I live and work near that Rez and see some of those drunken fools on Apache in Tempe. Sheesh!
