I'm all for ensuring we have clean air and water, but this is creepy. I don't want an agency of the federal government getting this close and personal to me.

Americans on their way to work or school may soon be reaching for a new high-tech device as they head out the door - a personal air-quality monitor. That’s the vision of bureaucrats at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who are trying to develop a portable sniffer that measures the body’s reactions to pollution in the air. It’s bound to take fear-mongering to a new level.

In other words, the gadget must analyze the nasty gases the wearer inhales, measure his vital signs in response to them, and then transmit the data wirelessly to government computers. The monitor must contain a wearable sensor weighing not more than 10.6 ounces - light enough for children to carry.

And what happens if the air quality is bad..does a voice activate yelling "Get back in the house now..the air is unfit to breathe !" ?

Agenda 21 baby, this little EPA spy will be shutting down ranchers' feedlots soon. Does your dog have gas, no pets for you as the EPA gets chummy with PETA. Meanwhile, the stench from federal bureaucracies is off the meter! EPA drones and air sniffers, how's that for freedom?!

I'll like to see it mandated for smoke-Nazi's to wear those things for a month. They might find out that second hand smoke ain't as dangerous as they've been told it is and that they're routinely exposed to things a heckuva lot worse.
