A critical document from President Barack Obama's free trade negotiations with eight Pacific nations was leaked online early Wednesday morning, revealing that the administration intends to bestow radical new political powers upon multinational corporations, contradicting prior promises.
...
Under the agreement currently being advocated by the Obama administration, American corporations would continue to be subject to domestic laws and regulations on the environment, banking and other issues. But foreign corporations operating within the U.S. would be permitted to appeal key American legal or regulatory rulings to an international tribunal. That international tribunal would be granted the power to overrule American law and impose trade sanctions on the United States for failing to abide by its rulings.
I think this is pretty self-explanatory on how foreign businesses operating in America would operate at an advantage. Equally repulsive is the fact some international group would have jurisdiction on our soil.
It's going to get worse the more desperate he gets.
Anybody else want to disagree with the fact that Obama is anti-American?
Conservatives all of a sudden are in love with American regulatory compliance. Wow...what a strange conversion.
Two sets of rules OK with you? Especially when an unfair advantage would be given to the competition? Regulations still should be reduced. Every business on US soil should operate under the same rules.

Too many regulations are bad for business. And Obama knows this - which is why the foreign businesses would not be subject to the multitude of regulations he has put upon US businesses.
Well hey..how else are you going to get foreign companies to build here ? You want the EPA all over them with costly regulations ? You want the unions all over them with costly labor demands ?
If we want to compete in a global world we have to equalize the playing field which means giving them waivers for all our costly regulations which drove US companies overseas to begin with.

Think people..think.
That's it - have American companies move their headquarters overseas, and then claim their companies are foreign companies and are subject to the international tribune.
