I went to Belgium once for ten days on a business trip (field service trip). Had a great time, and even got to go out on a small boat on the North Sea out of Zee Brugge. Had a lot of good food and wine.

But, I wouldn't want to live there either. Went into a restroom at a resaurant, and in came a woman and young girl right behind me! I guess I must have had a funny look on my face when I came out, because they were laughing when I sat back down at the table. Some want unisex bathrooms here. No thanks!

It's true that both sides have had their hardliners. We just need to get them all out of office and elect some real statesmen and patriots.

Thank God Richard Lugar is out!

I am tired of rewriting the same responses so I am just going to respond with previous posts on this topic. In addition to these reasons to never vote Republican I will add they will start an unwinnable war with Iran that will finally bankrupt our country. These were posted last Friday, June 15th.

Elect Pres Obama
Pg 1 post 4

The Republican Party has no interest in anyone below the multimillion income level. The rest of us exist to work to make a profit to provide luxury and power to the few. These people are the social and financial aristocracy of our day and are creating a New Feudalism based on money, class and race. They have rigged the politics with the absurd SCOTUS decision to grant "personhood" to corporations so they may control elections with money the same way their money still sells tobacco.

We do have a real choice in November. We can either elect a smart and decent person that has saved this country from a devastating depression or we can choose, because billions of advertizing dollars have lied to us, to pick a stuffed shirt with mile wide mean streak. This is why I am working and voting to elect President Obama as well as every other Democrat on the ballot.

GOP ideology
Pg 1 post 8

RR - You are a typical RWAH whining about a black guy was elected President. He was elected because your foolish leaders put up a senile warmonger and an idiotic bimbo that were not capable of running a PTA meeting let alone a State or the country. Now you put up a draft dodging coward that like to hurt and intimidate lesser people. You and your would be tyrants are exactly why I fight against you and your aristocracy of wealth.

GOP avoids discussing economy
Pg1 post 8

I suppose people are smart enough to blame President Obama for not allowing the economy to fall apart after the bubble broke. Without the deficit spending we would still have an economy with unemployment in the 30%+ levels, housing sales near zero and a completely stagnant consumer economy that could not even feed everybody let alone provide fancy electronics. I blame President Obama for not letting this economy drive us into a world of a few Romneyite Princes and millions of near starving peasants.

I don't really blame Bush for anything because he was and is too drunk and stupid to make a difference. The thieves that infested his failed administration are to blame.

God help us if we become like Europe - corrupt socialism and repression of the people along with an arrogance and attitude. Yes, they have history on their side but they are also showing strong signs of failure. Europe should be looked on as a warning and nothing more. We need to go back to the model of less government and fewer government regulations and controls.

If you want America to become Europe, move to Europe and save us the headaches and impending disasters. Obama has proven that economically, he is in over his head and his policies have shown to have made this country far worse economically. We cannot continue spending at the rate we are and hope to remain solvent and so few liberals really seem to understand that. Ignorance is bliss in la-la-Left Wing land.

And is there a problem with the way the U.S. has treated it's poor? I don't think so. We have not had "poor" like there are in other countries.

Most of our "poor" live in homes with refridgerators, TV's, computers, they have at least one car, a clean bed to sleep in at night, washing machines, dryers, and enough food to eat.

Many of the "homeless" in our society are that way by choice. They have put themselves in that position.

I would also note that it never has been the job of the government to take care of the poor, but it has been the Church and other private organizations that have done so, and they have done it with generous donations from caring individuals (many wealthy). We are not, as many think, a greedy people.

Capitalism is not based on "greed." If you believe that, you have been lied to.

Capitalism lifts up our standard of living. It has made us the richest nation in the world with the highest standard of living, bar none. And it has also given us the most freedom and opportunity of any nation in the world.

He specifically made the comparison in relation to the European nations that are defaulting. It is a salient point as we are heading in that direction. Do you even read the articles that you link?

It is hard not to be obsessed with the republican enemies to America. The last one put us into a depression, wasted trillions, murdered and maimed thousands of US troops on a WMD LIE, and committed war crimes against innocent chained & detained women and children.

Ask a legless veteran if he also is not obsessed with keeping an eye on right wing American traitors. I will be at the Palo Alto VA today among my wounded brothers, I will ask around for you.

Have you ever been to Europe?
In tiny hundreds of year old villages you'll have narrow roads, as well as in the Netherlands around the water.
I drive a VW van and never have problems driving and staying on the road.
Ah yes, Hitler's Highways. What better way to get your Panzers to the front!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Leftists will always lift something out of context to put conservatives in a bad light. They know what they're doing. They just hope no one notices. But, we do notice, and so are many, many more Americans every day.
