Obama bashing should be the least of your concerns..whether he is legit or not is and should not be an issue- The fact that you keep hiring goofy Presidents should be put in question. Why you made the school janitor who only wanted to be a jock all his life President...is beyond me.
Enough of this stuff about Obama's inconsistent history...vote the guy out and try not to replace him with another cartoon character...speaking of cartoon characters...what is Sarah Palin doing these days?
Obama should have had his staff verify the "family lore", if that's what it was. And this excuse reminds me of those who would defend Elizabeth Warren for claiming to be of Cherokee descent!
I don't think that claiming "family lore" is a valid defense. "Family lore" does not make these stories into facts. Especially not from these Harvard academic types.
What staff?
From the introduction of "Dreams From my Father." Although much of this book is based on contemporaneous journals or the oral histories of my family, the dialogue is necessarily an approximation of what was actually said or relayed to me. For the sake of compression, some of the characters that appear are composites of people I've known, and some events appear out of precise chronology.
"Harvard academic types" would understand that if you are relying on the oral histories of your family that some of the stories would not be factual or would contain inaccuracies.
Obama disclosed in the introduction the standards and process he used, no defense is required.
