It does not apply to those around him, which, having been invoked, places Obama square in the middle of this.

so are YOU saying that Obama is squarely involved in the middle of this, and directed holder to lie in front of congress???
LOL Holder is just as much a part of the White House as Dick Cheney was.

There is no legal argument that the Executive Privilege is pertains only to Presidential communications.

That's hogwash.

It applies to his Cabinet as well. Not only have you made up this crazy excuse, no Congressional lawyers have even made that line of argument.

You've just made up out of thin air or some World Net Daily blog post....LOL

Wrong FIVE bush aides/advisors used it to prevent testimony or documents being provided to Congress. FIVE.

And then used a State Secrets law to prevent a whistleblower from revealing the treasonous aides/asst. cabinet officials from being exposed as double agents to Turkey and Pakistan.

And what did the Dem Congress do about that ?

Nothing, that's what. Pelosi never brought that charge of contempt on Rove up for a vote. She let it sit there and did nothing.
The 3 branches of government are checks and balances. They have the power to keep each other in line. They are not doing their jobs IMO.

You continue to just make things up, and not only did people in Congress make that argument, but also other lawyers based upon Supreme Court rulings.

In particular, this is what SCOTUS ruled in Espy about who get Executive Privelege

the privilege should apply only to communications authored or solicited and received by those members of an immediate White House advisor’s staff who have broad and significant responsibility for investigation and formulating the advice to be given the President on the particular matter to which the communications relate. Only communications at that level are close enough to the President to be revelatory of his deliberations or to pose a risk to the candor of his advisers.

Workingclasshero get's his legal advice from Hannity.....LOL

Different contexts.

If you look at the 6 Bush Executive Privileges there were specific reasons given as to why releasing the information would be a breach against the executive branch and their right to get advice from people in secret and there weren't any alleged crimes. Perhaps Democrats thought something improper happened with the advice, but not illegal. One of the six was actually to protect Janet Reno (Bill Clinton's former AG) so of course the Democrats didn't pursue that one.

Here we have over 200 people DEAD and the man who promised to be the most transparent president ever is stonewalling it.

Justice for Trayvon, but none for Brian Terry. Truly, skewed priorities.........
