Who knows? Is the rise in asthma, food allergies, autoimmune disorders, obesity, autism, ADHD, etc. over the past couple of decades merely a coincidence as our diets are comprised of more and more genetically modified foods?? And our government thinks we don't deserve to know what food items we buy at the grocery store are GM and which aren't. We are guinea pigs without a say...

Upon researching the answer to that, I discovered that I should have done so before starting this thread. It turns out that Tifton 85 is NOT genetically modified, but a hybrid obtained by crossing different kinds of bermuda. It is the creation of the late Dr. Glenn Burton, working at the University of Georgia, Tifton.

Great question. I don't know the answer but I can give you my personal observation. I've noticed that in recent years as I've become older, a lot less active and more prone to sitting on my butt watching TV and messing around with the internet the genetically modified foods seem to effect me more.
