Conservatives doing what they do best. Accuse the other side, attack the source but never ever give a reply that makes sense.

So the author bases this article on a few local politicians who made self-serving calculated moves in Democrat-leaning districts to increase their own prospects? 21.5% independents, how does this make CA special? That's pretty much par for the course in most other states iirc. Thirtysomething percent partisan registration for each party with twentysomething registration of independent/no party preference.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but this is just another slow news day and another poorly written article from the L.A. Times, nothing to see here folks, move along.

Mexico is a multi party country, 3 of which have dominated their politics for years. The PRI, PAN and the PRD. Rather than spend much time going over it, I'll just post the wiki link. List of political parties in Mexico - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Their Presidential election is coming up on July 1st.

The insanity of the Teabaggrs, birthers, religious fanatics who mistakenly claim America a "Xtian" nation, the hysteria against Mexicans, Muslims, the poor. And now the stripping of financial programs which benefit the poor and Americans impoverished by the loss of jobs. We have never been closer to a religious Oligarchy. It's as though the crazed Conservobots have never read Matthew 25.

And very soon at the rate we are going sinking will become sunk. Can you say Stockton on a much larger scale?

I believe the person who responded to you took issue with your blanket muting of crticism with the assumption that anyone who points out the article's logical fallacies must be a conservative.
No matter your political stripes, the article was horribly written with a grossly misleading headline.

With the state headed for something akin to Allende's vision for Chile, this is not a surprise.
