But, but , but Obama told me it was not a tax!!!!!!

Was he lying?

Was he uniformed?

Was he intentionally misleading me to advance his political agenda?

That's another problem I have with ObamaCare. With ObamaCare, the HHS decides what insurance we are allowed to buy, and what insurance companies are allowed to sell.

With ObamaCare, the insurance company and the customer are sitting at the table, and neither of them want what is in the health care insurance contract they are both forced to sign. If the college student wants a high deductible plan, that covers only specific things, ObamaCare will not allow the insurance company to sell it to him.

This will help Romney to get elected now, cuz he will move to repeal it.
^ all of this. Guess I'm lucky I was able to have that choice. Feel really bad for the 20 somethings who don't have that choice anymore.

No, that's not correct. The penalty for not having insurance is not the only tax.
Go back and read the bill. Even if you have insurance there will still be additional taxes that we have to pay and it's on a sliding scale depending on your income.

You are not home free because you have insurance my friend.

So someone from the right, please explain how this is a tax for the middle class?
As 17 million more people are put on the medicaid rolls this will fuel higher insurance costs for the insurance companies because the government has cost limits.. it will be passed on to the corporations because no hospital will work and have a deficit and stay in business. The more freebees the worse it gets for the full paying crowd.

Funny, there is thread after thread in C-D where republicans rail against those poor people who are below the federal poverty threshold who pay no taxes. These are called deadbeats, leeches and abusers of the system. Simultaniously, when republicans game the system, it's called financial planning and smart money management. A republican tradition.

How much were you paying, per employee?

I don't know if you knew, but the SC justices are mostly conservative, so at this point this bill has a conservative stamp of approval on it.

I have never seen anyone who is paying a health care tax lose their car, home or anything else because of a health care tax............ I have, however seen many here lose their homes, cars and get into HUGE debt because of the Health Care Premiums here AND thousand lose their lives every year hear through NO health coverage............ this right wing stupidty about how a tax for health will ruin the Country is not only STUPID but also NOT based on any FACTS or the experience of ALL other Countries with a Govt. funded health system. Only in the USA are people in a Inustrialised Nation made Bankrupt because of the health system
