I agree with this.............we have our problems, but I stand by my country as being the best. I'm sure others think the same of their's.

Its going down hill daily. It has to turn around and maybe it can be better but I doubt it can happen. Too far gone.. Moral decline. the dumbing down of the public, movies are really raunchy and so is tv. Too casual with no manners or refinement.

kids with bad language, adults with bad language, no discipline , everyone looking for a hand out from the middle class and rich is a bad word if you are a republican.. it is ok if you are a democrat with big bucks.. hypocrites are the norm.

It is an entitlement society today with the generations thinking everything should be handed to them. Government is eroding. Debt is going higher. This country has had its glory days and now it is sinking down. It will have to change direction if it is to get better and the hope is nil. Socialism does not work. It will gobble up the middle class. Hard times ahead no matter what. It is a done deal and the people will have to pay in years to come.

I would say Canada at this point is the greatest, would be for me anyway. As long as they control their borders and limit immigration they will remain THE place to live in the world. I live in Minnesota and my retirement plans are a cabin in very northern Minnesota close to Canada and spend my winters in the Vancouver area. The US is becoming trash and the further south you go the worse it gets.

If you think that we pay such high taxes...You should investigate what other developed nations pay.

we have terrible health care.
It is expensive and not universally available. However, it is definitely not "terrible," if you are covered it is actually quite good.

This is too simplistic. Many factors are involved for our problems. For example, overall our government does provide the services when enough demand is met. Nothing gets done because people do not get them done. In Poly Sci 101, you will learn that when the support and political pressure is there, change does happen in our system. That's just how it is. Society needs to change, not necessary the government.

the USA is still the world's wealthiest, most powerful and most famous and well-known nation.
No other country in the world offer not even 10% of what America has to offer, so you could just imagine.

Canada is the next best country!

I think we have a really great past but we're no longer at the forefront. We've gotten used to being number one and have stopped trying to improve, even suggesting we should improve is often decried as traitorous. Well, we've gotten passed and we're no longer number one. We can either pretend that hasn't happened or we can start doing something about it.

I said influence! Read my post. Justin Beiber is making his bones in America. Not Canada. Jay-Z and Kanye West performed a song called "Ni$$a's in Paris" in front of 100,000 people in Paris.

You should move to Conservastan! No liberals there. BTW: I learned in the first grade that United States should always be capitalized when using it in a complete sentence. Don't bring up education ever again. LLAMF!

It may be the worst in your opinion, but across the pond and in Asia, they love it. Can get enough of it.
