I am not surprised you do not know, but believe it or not, a lot of deaths can be prevented when diseases are detected early, and if proper care is given early enough.
I was right. In 2010 there were 2,437,163 deaths according to the CDC. If only 26,100 didn't have insurance, that means a whole lot of people were insured but died anyway.
That is a total lie. Health insurance never prevented any deaths.
Health care might.
Make no mistake your care is predicated on the kind of insurance you have. You and I may have the same disease. I have BCBS PPO, you have UnitedHealthCare HMO. I'll get better treatment every single time hands down. Your doc will say, "I've done all I can" my doc will continue to treat and send me to as many special with in terms of his contract with BCBS. Pay cash only? You'll get as far as the amount in your bank account will allow. You're dead.

Yeah..PPO beats HMO no questions asked. But I fear we're going to see more and more HMO's and less and less PPOs over time. I pay extra for my PPO because I can and that's the type of coverage I want.
I don't want to turn around one day and my choice is HMO A, HMO B or HMO C.
The lack of medical coverage in America is a serious problem as approximately 50 million people were uninsured all through 2010. But the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was passed in 2010, was constitutional. The legislation, once implemented in its entirety, is expected to cover 30 million Americans currently lacking coverage.
The lack of medical insurance has had grave consequences for individuals and the nation. In 2010 alone, 26,100 people died because they had no health insurance — that amounts to 502 preventable deaths a week
That's quite some spin you've got there.
How many of those same people would have died with insurance?
I mean, really.............see if you can come up with something real.
If I had health insurance - issued by the state because I am unable to pay, the cost would have been that of a simple visit to a pediatrician. We can assume that this health insurance, just like private companies, will have been able to negotiate a lower rate. Thus, instead of costing the nation $1500, cost will be significantly less.
