I don't know that much about Persian culture or the middle east in general.
But it seems like Arabs and Persians seem to be very into saber-rattling always prattling on about how powerful they are.
I like how Israel walloped the shyt out of the Egyptians in 6 days. You don't see the Israel's talking smack, but they sure as hell can deliver it.
The only thing holding the Israelis back from full on attacking Iran is the US, and frankly I wish they let dogs go on that one.

A good indicator of primitive, territorial-type thinking is "we're right, they're wrong." Many people, Americans included, are still blinded by this tribal-type mentality.
Only when we learn to dialogue with those whom we disagree with, will there be true progress. "My weapons are bigger than yours" is nothing other than neanderthal.
For war to start, people have to be indoctrinated to believe that the "other guy" is "less than human." If they can get you to believe this, then they can get you to serve them to their own ends, and they get what they want.
And Israel hasn't been repeatedly threatening to attack Iran for the last 2 years?

So, General Chowhound, why don't you explain to every one here if Israel will be conducting in-flight refueling in plain view of the Iranians before Israeli planes enter Iranian airspace, or while Israeli airplanes are over Iranian airspace or will Israeli pilots be performing the standard kamikaze suicide mission and crashing their planes on Iranian cities after they run out of fuel?

You need to get off of the Sadam Hussein propaganda team. We punished Iraq twice and got rid of their dictator. If Iran even thinks about attacking any U.S. base, they will become the world's largest self lighting glass parking facility.
Since when has threatening to strike back if struck been considered as having a death wish? Logically one would consider such a threat as both rational and prudent. In point of fact it has been U.S. defense policy for more than 70 years.
