That is a thoughtful article; some historians believe that Custer had political ambitions, which fits perfectly into the heinous and unnecessary decimation of the Plains Indians. The Rosebud Reservation is a national disgrace, as its residents seem to be held in perpetual oppression. Neither party has done much to rectify any of the problems mentioned, and the observation that war is a racket, and a lucrative one, dovetails with today's political climate. You posted nothing immature; if anything, it's an accurate assessment of the way some dismiss and deflect rather than engage in meaningful dialogue. Clearly there is a connection between these early acts of genocidal warfare, Hearst's comment of, "You supply the photographs and I'll supply the war," the Gulf of Tonkin non-event and Hussein's WMD. Thanks for the interesting and informative read.
