WASHINGTON -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) has become the latest leader to condemn the now 40-year-old war on drugs.
"The war on drugs, while well-intentioned, has been a failure," Christie said Monday during a speech at The Brookings Institution. "We're warehousing addicted people everyday in state prisons in New Jersey, giving them no treatment."
A major contribution to the drug problem in the US can be connected to illegals and our neighbor across the border. Maybe Christie would like to get hard on the illegal immigration problem and the flow of drugs they smuggle into the US and take some action to protect our borders.

Are you going to mow my yard for $20 and do as good a job as Jose?

You have it reversed, the drug war is the major reason it is so lucrative to smuggle drugs across the border.
Well it is a failure, but where I disagree with Christie is that I think we should end it. Christie thinks we just either need better enforcement, or better treatment. He isn't interested in legalization.
Obama disagrees with Christie. The war just needs MOAR GUBMINT.
