Very interesting reading, thank you Frugal.

24% of the dog bites in Seattle were from pitbulls that year, yet her solution did nothing to address the other 76%.

Having continued to research Colleen Lynn I’ve discovered some very interesting ommissions. The owner of the dog that allegedly bit Ms. Lynn has never been referenced in print. The dog was allegedly immediately euthanized, which is unorthodox, as most dogs that cause severe injury are held in quarantine, and then ethanized and the head sent for rabies testing. I have not yet been able to find a police report of the incident. Ms. Lynn has not filed suit against the dog’s owner in Seattle, or King County. Instead, Ms. Lynn would far prefer to cause harm to all of the dogs that were not involved in her alleged bite, and to all of the owners of those dogs.

Furthermore, the combination of pit bulls, rottweilers, their close mixes, and wolf hybrids are responsible for 68 percent of fatalities and 77 percent of attacks that cause bodily harm.

I can't prove it, but I'm willing to bet that the owners of pit bulls are also more dangerous than your average citizen. You can tell by their tattoos.

I say we outlaw pit bulls and put the others on notice.
Well i am a happy pit bull owner, both my pits are loving affectionate and happy , well taken care of . I am a 58 year old female with tats. I am a professional women in a high management position. Dogs are only mean when the owners are mean.. We need to ban the idiots that think any dog is mean because of thier breed, its the owners that raise them that way, and in reference to tatoos I got mine in honor of one of the most amazing women in my life , my mother... ps. I won't allow my pits to get tatoo's they are only 9 months old when they can make that decision on thier own I will, we are very carefull with any large breed dogs we own we never say....get him... I would guess that the person writing above probally has a poodle and wouldn't know how to raise a large dog.

If you fear a dog it is because you don't understand the breed , so what you don't understand you fear.

This world has given certain breeds such a bad reputation because of the evil people out there who care of no one but themselfs and money. How any one could harm an animal just breaks my heart the same for a child or elder. I am sorry for you that you are so prejudiced.

I myself at the age of 12 was mauled by Lassie, a collie, the most loved dog, he did permanent damage. and I still love every dog I see , until I get to know them. Then I decide if they are dangerous.

Love my Bulliegods, Max and Alexus

The interesting thing is that there are bull terriers that aren't bred to be so violent. It's just our American Bullies version that has those tendencies.

Lucky this is not a dog thread...I mentioned something about putting controls on Pit Bulls...and I got banned for three days...forget about banning any sort of dog- You guys are Americans and putting controls on these dogs is very much like talking about gun control....A weapon is a weapon...Once they take your dog- they then take your gun....I would not give up such a dog breed...but like guns they have to be kept under control- not banned.

I love my pitbull mix. Best dog ever; he's never met a man or beast that he didn't love.

Some pit bull lovers are loyal until the end. Last year, Darla Napora, 32, a pit bull advocate and supporter of BADRAP, was mauled to death by one of her two pet pit bulls inside her home in Pacifica, Calif. Her husband, Greg Napora, told the San Jose Mercury News at the time that he didn’t blame the dog and that he planned to bury Darla, who was six months pregnant when she was killed, with their pet's cremated remains in her casket.
So let me get this straight...her husband blamed the owner????

that way we the people can have a much better country without all the jerk politicans being power corrupt.
