Should they get more time because they beat up a gay guy or just because they beat somebody up? Ya know it's too bad the three guys weren't white because then the media would be going wild about it. Kinda like that other story down there in florida or wherever that was with the hoodie kid and white mexican.

I don't think banjo music has a whole lot to do with hip hop....
Haters come in all shapes/colors and sizes......hopefully the hate will stop someday and people will work together to solve our problems instead of resorting to this blind violence.
Yes, but according to hate crime statistics....black male hate crimes vs. gays is about 5x that of white males.

I'm not surprised at this. I know that gangsta culture in general encourages beating up LGBT people. I myself never had this problem and I'm not very masculine at all...but I guess being a 6ft redhead helps. If I ran into this problem I would be worried, but not for my safety. I'd be worried about those guys' safety since I'd probably rip them in half!
I say punish them as you would anyone else that did the crime.
No one should get beaten up for any reason. Gay is among a thousand reasons to not get beaten up, but it is not a more special reason than any other reason to not get beaten up.
