If we drop the education for doctors the same way the libs/progressives have improved the education in our public schools, we'll have enough doctors in one year.

Reminds me of the vast need for commercial truck drivers campaign not that long ago. We got the vast number of truck drivers and now no one wants to be a truck driver. Why, you ask, well the vast new supply of truck drivers drove wages down dramatically and it suddenly became "one of those" jobs that no one wanted because it paid crap unless you owned your own truck.

We recently saw a patient for abnormal lab values. This patient had been losing a significant amount of weight over a one year period. This man had a Medicare HMO plan and had only seen a Physician's assistant for the last year. My doc was alarmed by the weight loss and symtoms and ordered radiology studies. This patient has metastatic cancer. The patient's Medicare HMO has a history of dropping Primary Care Providers who "over utilize". Welcome to the future of healthcare.

I remember 15 years ago when there was a big push to educate more lawyers and now look at our big mess!

Law schools are full and grads are looking for work.

Many of the best and the brightest can't find suitable work with BS and Masters in tough bio and related subjects, so they continue to study toward what they hope will be a career, possibly not grasping the economics/return that the future may bring to physicians.

There's quantity and then there's quality.

I thought that they all went to DC and screwed up the country. Maybe we'll need more head doctors to deal with all the screwed up politicians next.

Whats shocking is that after how many years, we still have people like you actually believing that taxing people = more insurance

I sure hope you are right and those already practicing doctors are wrong but I certainly don't think you are and they aren't right.
Told ya some usual RWNJ would try and spin this into something bad. As long as there are sick humans, there will be medical Drs, most of whom don't do it primarily for financial gain. I know this will upset conservatives but some people choose professions because they are honorable.
