In a week you will see the opposite story. A week later you will see this one again...

What is this fascination with predicting the unpredictable then saying I was correct 4 guesses ago?

Given that the "wealthy" already pay more than their "fair share", this is nothing more than the D's wanting to punish some people for having more than others.

Jealousy? Envy? Who knows with this insane crowd.

Republican leaders quickly voiced horror at these tactics. “Has it come to this?” said Speaker John Boehner, accusing Democrats of holding the economy hostage for the sake of high-end tax increases. Senator Mitch McConnell, the minority leader, called it “an entirely avoidable high-stakes game of chicken with the single-minded goal of taking more money from those who earn it.”

It's your own fault for giving in last year - nice job.

It's a bluff ya'll. Do you really think that Democrats are going to let THESE cuts to social programs take place??

Quote:
Among those cuts: the elimination of 2,300 National Institutes of Health research grants; nearly 100,000 children losing Head Start services; and no more child care assistance for 80,000 kids. Not to mention 12,150 fewer patients with access to AIDS Drug Assistance Program benefits and 169,000 people who would not get access to substance-abuse treatment programs.

LOL

Yeah right.

The parrots on the left are mind-numbingly naive.

LOL! Lookie lookie the New York Times thinks the dems are winning!LOLOL

I would have never guessed.

Republicans need to pass a bill that provides a permanant tax rate that is currently in existance now and then let the democrats break the economy.

It IS the democrats that are attempting to run the economy into the ground NOT republicans.

The GOP is in a frenzy. The economy will improve if we go back to the Clinton era taxes and that will defeat their intent. Email your reps and tell them you support them "Going Off The Cliff".

Yep, look at that envy...take someone elses money. You know, the difference between a conservative and liberal...
The conservative wants everyone to keep more of their own money...and is happy when tax rates go down for all. The Lib beleives it is bad for people to be overly successful financially, and it is ok to forcefully take money so it can be redistributed for their definition of social good and fairness. Actually, I think this nonsense will backfire, as more people want all Americans to be treated equally...and don't buy into this garbage.
