"James Holmes is boyfriend material -- that's the shocker a Match.com member says she got when she logged on Friday afternoon to see the site suggesting she hook up with the man accused of killing 12 people in the Colorado movie massacre."
She took a screen shot before Match.com took it down so she's not lying.
But, what does this say about her?
Or what does this say about Match.com?
Then OMIGOD, he puts on his match.com application that his politics are MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I think all of my "wing nut" friends on both the left and right will say, "See, we told you those Humpty-Dumptys were dangerous."
Then there's the story about him being obsessed with a video game. AHA! you say, there's the defense -- hours and hours with violent video games. Except the video game he was obsessed with was Guitar Hero. It's not like he broke into the theater and started playing for everyone.

It says the OBVIOUS..anyone can say anything online.....there, wasn't that simple?
I doubt Holmes gave a profile that says, "I like killing lots of people in a theater". Maybe he put down, "I like long walks on the beach and the color blue"....
The only thing I can conclude about her is that she will probably conclude that maybe she should be skeptical of any other matches that Match.com recommends for her.
I hear this guy was put on drugs since the 6th grade for attention deficit disorder. That stuff IMO F's up the brain and we are seeing IMO the first wave of what will become a more common place thing with such formerly or currently drugged people.
The guy had a brain and made up his profile to be acceptable to others. He did not say "I want to kill people" in his profile I am sure.

Why is it so surprising that this Colorado shooter idiot was on Match.Com? Whoever said that the dating sites were 100% secure?? Never were a great idea fron the first time they became popular. Someone being on these sites now is perhaps as "usual" as can be; not smart, not safe but "usual". I do think this guy was slowly going insane and no one saw the symptoms nor paid attention to his odd behavior. My biggest complaint is the amount of ammo and type of guns he was able to purchase without anyone being suspicious and reporting him. All it would have taken was for the internet company where he purchased 6,000 rounds of ammo total to TELL SOMEONE in authority. Big deal he played Non-Violent video games he is STILL an insane killer. Something made him flip out and its probably something that has been going on with him for a long time and it all finally became out of control for him. He deserves to be put into a prison that has the death penalty that is for sure.
I'm trying to figure out how people that blame others for his rapage would KNOW he was a danger? According to media, he had a clean record besides a traffic violation. He was a PHD student described as very smart and quiet.
How many people have we encountered like that? Well, I've encountered many guys like that. I don't think they are mass murders. The point is sometimes no one can see this coming. So it's not the schools, Match.com, his parents, the government, his neighbors etc fault. This guy was just a time bomb. Plain and simple.
LOL, I met my husband on Match.com. He's a great guy, but I didn't know that when he contacted me on the site. I still had to check him out, just like I would check out anyone else I met at a party, or the library, or whatever. And I had to get to know him over time, just like I would have if I'd met him while we were both pinching produce at the grocery store.
Common sense, people. In this day and age especially, it's very easy to screen someone in or out of your life long before you allow them access to you on a personal level. For instance, meet them in a public place. Verify the information they give you. Meet their friends. Let them meet yours. Pay attention to your gut. Move slowly. If things start getting interesting, do a background check - you can hire someone to do one for you for about $100 for that matter - and if the person you're meeting is a complete stranger with no verifiable ties to the community or people you know, then it's money well spent for sure.

You know what I have been wondering - how does someone buy tear gas? Seriously, anyone know? Is that the kind of thing you buy in a store? Is there any kind of paperwork for it? I haven't read it anywhere in connection with this story. I don't remember tear gas being used in any other mass murder scenario.
