When we liberals "crusade" for a cause it's something decent like civil rights, women's rights, etc.

Uh, that's rich. Conservatives were crusading for civil rights before liberals found it to be fashionable.
The reason conservatives were for civil rights is people like Charlton Heston (who actually marched in civil rights marches), because of the way in which the liberal backed, Democrat supported unions blatantly discriminated against Blacks.
Conservatives like Charlton Heston wanted to work with the the best, and it didn't matter what color the best was. But color did matter to the liberal Democrat unions who refused admission to Blacks.
From 1933 to 1979 -- 46 years -- the Democrats had majorities in the House & Senate simultaneous, except for a brief 2 year period during the Eisenhower Administration.
So spare us your platitudes.

Republicans fought for civil rights. Dem lawmakers and the WH pay their women employees less than the men.

I've never understood why liberals try to push their beliefs on other people. If you think abortion is OK - don't be surprised when people who value life oppose you. If you think homosexuality is OK - fine - don't force your lifestyle or promote it on the rest of us - especially not our children. Why do you have to pretend to be little crusader knights - shoving your liberal social agenda down everybody's throat - and attacking people who understand right from wrong?
