If you think there research is biased, then attack the research, not the organization. What's wrong with their methods, their data, or the results they've reached?

and yes, in my younger days I remember working in places where this actually happened.

People will work for $4/hr if they have to, so this is why we need a minimum wage, coded in law.

and lol, no, I don't have 'slogan' cards, but I can perhaps dig some up if you like

That's right. There is a jobs demand, not a labor demand, so people will work for whatever they can get. Some people have the option of multiple job offers--many don't, and with no leverage, the best they can hope for is whatever the employer is willing to pay.

Many employers are not responsible, and do not care what their employees can and can't do with what they pay them--it's not their problem.

Here is a simple rule. Minimum wage should be a livable wage. It's what it was originally created to do. If it's worth hiring someone to do a job, it's worth paying them a livable wage. Quit turning the underclass in this country into slaves because you're butt-hurt about your dense thoughts about what you think is "socialism."

Which is exactly why millions of college graduates are working minimum wage jobs, if they have a job at all. Because they quit school by graduating.

Is there a law forcing these idiots to continue working for a boss who steals their tips?

Did you continue to work at the same place like these idiots you claim who are being taken advantage of by these evil bosses all over are doing?

Who has to work for 4 dollars an hour? I just picked Kansas City here because it's remotely close to me. After about twenty seconds of a google search I retured 5K jobs available in the KC area. Your either stupid or lazy or both if you sit around making four bucks an hour and watch your boss walk out with your tips.

dolts or not - $4 is all they will get if there are no other jobs available.

Nothing to stop all employers paying only $4/hr so then these people will have to accept it or starve.

In this scenario, businesses can just keep undercutting each other with the wages, which will then just get lower and lower, so long as the owner can maintain his profit.

In the long run, this means that those at the bottom end, have no spending power and thus we will get stagnation.

That is bad for the economy as a whole.

So for these two reasons at least, we must have a minimum wage.

Wonder if there will ever be an answer from freemkt to my question (Post 145) or if it will be ignored like other times.
