I'm impressed by Illinois-let's see if we can get such laws passed nationwide.

If you are impressed by Illinois gun laws, perhaps you haven't read the demographics, in particular the demographics of crime in Chicago since the implimentation of gun control.... Here is a link that might make you re-think the effectiveness of gun control.. It's long, but I am sure you can find the highlights.

Gun Control

We in Texas believe in gun control too..... Always hit your designated target.

What impresses you? Is it a state oppressing the rights of law abiding citizens and leaving them vulnerable to criminals who ignore gun laws?

Gun controls are a lesson in futility,America is a gun culture, accept it and forget about unenforceable gun controls.

Sorry to hear you are impressed.. Illinois has higher crime rate than most states that allow citizens to carry. Gun control only effects law abiding citizens not criminals. Imagine the scene in that theatre, maybe someone could have stopped him, maybe not but under present conditions the gunman knew no one was armed to fight him...That is for certain and not a maybe.....
