I shoulda saved my rep for this post! Excellent point. People my age (gen x) have grown up hearing their entire lives that there won't BE any SS when we retire!! So why should we care if it still exists or not? It won't be there for us when we retire and even if it is, it'll be a FRACTION of what we need to survive so it won't make any difference if we get it or not!

My mother is on SS and she doesn't even get a full $500 a month! She can't survive on that. My oldest sister and I support her and she uses that money for buying stuff off the TV. It's rediculous!

There we have it. Republicans want to get rid of FDRCare. Why aren't your representatives advocating that? You guys need to talk to your congressman/woman. They are obviously not representing your interests.

Some of the same people on FDRCare. Of course, they hate FDR.

You people show your stupidity daily. Please, keep it up.
60 here and never a dime yet... My first job started at 14 years on the books loading bed matresses into tractor trailers. Before that I dug clams off the book starting around 8.

FDR took away the GOLD replaced it with crap, and these kids have never once held a real dollar.
For that matter neither have you and or I! We held a few silver dollars and paper notes backed in Silver, but no GOLD.

Can you imagine that if the Govt determines there is 0 value to the dollar what these people will do?

As it is I think the dollar's value is somewhere around negitive 2 cent now anyway. I'ld have to see what a US pre 1964 25 cent piece is valued at to be sure.

Anyway it's been nice to meet another 'We bin Moochiner'

Polling indicates that most Americans do not support ObamaCare.

I withdrew from Social Security (and by extension Medicare) - I cannot get either. It was a PIA to do it but, IMO, worth it.
