Three and a half years into President Obama’s first term as president, half of Americans cannot accurately say what religion he is, according to a poll released this week.
Only 49 percent of respondents said that Obama was Christian while 17 percent inaccurately said he was Muslim. Nearly one-third of respondents said they did not know the president’s religion, according to the poll released Thursday by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life.
More people – 60 percent – knew that Romney, who has not held elected office in a decade, was Mormon than knew which religion the sitting president subscribes to.
Very few Americans know what kind of "Christian" church he attended for over 20 years, have heard of Rev. Wright, and the hatred towards white people this church spewed. Much of the blame for the lack of knowledge about this goes to John McCain who refused to bring this subject up when he ran against Obama.
Even if Obama isn't a practicing Muslim he grew up with a heavy Muslim influence. Both his father and step father were Muslim. He spent a good portion of his childhood in Muslim Indonisia. He said the Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound he has heard and that he will stand with the Muslims no matter what.
Plus the actions he has taken as President have advanced the agenda of radical Islam. In particular his support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and beyond.
So anyone who calls Obama a Muslim is more informed and less naive than someone who actually thinks Obama is a mainstream Christian.
Obama started out a Muslim, and later joined a Chicago Church that is down for the struggle.
Wrong. He started out with no religion and then from that age of 10, started to follow Christianity, because of his grandfather.
He has never once practiced the Muslim religion voluntarily
And before you say "but he attend a MUSLIM school in Indonesia" - doesn't mean that he was pracitcing the religion (in fact his teachers stated that he never took it seriously)
And you also forget that the 2nd school he attended in Indonesia till he was 10, was a predominantly Catholic school (Unless you think St. Francis Assisi is a Muslim)
It's interesting that ABC News doesn't seem to know what religion he is, either, since they don't mention it. A lot of different religions are Christian. What kind of a Christian is he? Baptist? Lutheran? Catholic? Epicopalian? Methodist? Etc.
