Well...the original comics were not like TV's Adam West as Batman you know. They were quite DARK and that wasn't Hollywood's doing. Even the last boot of Batman from the 90's was pretty grim. Violent movies are nothing new because violent people are nothing new.

Are you talking about the new movie, the Disney version, or the original story? I'm kind of shocked that so many people don't no the origins of these tales and think they are supposed to be cute and fluffy. Try reading some old fairy tales, they will keep you up at night. Again, can't blame Hollywood. Life has never been nice. The modern age and things you are familiar with are actually some of the most sanitized in human history.

Even the 1943 Batman live action serials at the movies were considered extremely violent at the time. Batman fought Nazi and the Japanese infiltrators on U.S. soil in those. Check out the 1943 Batmobile

I thought conservatives wanted the President to be "tough on terror" and take on threats to America, continuing the legacy that Bush started...

And when Obama does so, now they've become pacifists who sympathize with Al Quaeda terrorists and equate war-time attempts to take them out with cold-blooded, unjustified murder of innocent people in a movie theater.

I guess conservatives no longer "support the troops", since they have been taking these actions against AQ...I guess they think they are as bad as that guy who killed those poor people in the movie theater.

My, how the tables have turned!...

Who would they compare Bush to?
After all, he left over 100,000 Iraqi's, 4.5k US military dead and another 14k military wounded.
Hmmm.

As it's the Republicans who support the right of every crazy person to legally purchase AK-47s to mow down their fellow citizens, shouldn't another well-known crazy person be sharing the billboard... Michelle Bachmann??

When Romney loses in November look back to classless RWNJ acts like this and its accompanying attitudes as to why the Republican ship sank.
