The best thing GW Bush could do for the US is to hide and never be seen or heard again.
wow

uhm the wars were funded...

I think that it's both too. He probably would like to campaign, but is "taking one for the team" because he was such a total failure and would stain the Repub brand.

George W always excelled at spending $$$ that we didn't have.

I think he is smart enough to have witnessed Obama's propensity for blaming the Bush presidency for everything, and Bush wishes this election to be won or lost on Obama's record.

would his work with folks with AIDS, especially in Africa be an example of humanitarian works? How about the recent trip to Africa he and his wife made? That was all over some news outlets at the time.

You wouldn't vote for a Republican with or without Bush so I guess that stain wouldn't affect you, much.

I agree with this. I also think he is just sick of politics and doesn't want any part in them anymore and I can't blame him. I hope he's enjoying his retirement.

I saw his wife recently on a news program regarding HIV/AIDS funding and how Bush went to Africa recently and did a lot of hands on work. They had pics of him and he looked happy. He looked very stressful during his presidency and I'm sure he's rather not be stressed anymore as he's had enough to last a lifetime. I imagine that Obama will be the same if he is not elected again or after his second term.

Only guys like Clinton, who enjoy the limelight seem to want to inject themselves into current events.

He's been told to stay as far from the Romney campaign as he can. His name is poison and linking him to Romney would be disastrous for the GOP.

Bush realized what a chump he had been with Chaney calling the shots and is ashamed of it.

Now he can finally relax after years and years of being in politics, I can't say I'm surprised that he's kept a low profile. He just sticks to his ranch, his family, and humanitarian work.
Agreed........
